Carmen'S Place - Bastimentos

Carmen and Marcel create a cute family atmosphere.

Despite the promise of tranquility in the forest bungalow, it turned out to be a restless experience with noise lingering until dawn. Navigating the path to Old Bank was challenging, as it required crossing thin wooden planks above a mangrove swamp that wasn't exactly suited for all guests.

The weather was really warm, had really amazing stay with other travellers. The breakfast was marvellous, with amazing dishes. Was a good home base for trip.

My stay was great for 4 nights. The queen room I had was beautiful. The breakfast was very very good, I enjoyed a great selection of food they served. The location was good - just a walk down to everywhere I wanted to go. And it was also so close to a Jungle, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama and sloth island...

Thank you you, guys! The stuff is exceptional here, the services are amazing, and location is good really close to nature and many local attractions-Red Frog Beach and Jungle. The double room is beautiful and stylish. The bathroom is good and the bed is lovely...

The hotel with well-designed and clean rooms, in a beautiful area, to other surrounding islands in Bocas del Toro. Beautiful building and rooms with great views. Great way to end our trip.

I felt right at home during my 5 nights in the Double Room with Sea View! The fine view from my room was a highlight-falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle was magical. Every morning started with a generous breakfast with local fruits, pancakes, and the best eggs I've ever had!

Carmen's Place was like a slice of paradise tucked between the lush jungle and the sea. My mornings started with the soothing sounds of the jungle, followed by really good breakfast prepared by Carmen. I loved relaxing on the dock with a coffee, taking in the serene views. The Family Suite with Balcony was a highlight, offering the perfect perch for watching the local wildlife. Carmen and Marcel created such a cute atmosphere, treating me like family. Dinners were a treat. They were plentiful with diverse flavors. On the downside, the ocean right in front wasn't very clear for swimming. The muddy path to Old Bank wasn't the easiest, often requiring a water taxi. One night, loud music from across the water disrupted sleep until dawn, but that didn't overshadow my overall experience. The provided amenities like filtered water and organized tours were great touches that added to my stay.

We had an amazing 3 nights at Carmen'S Place! The food was delicious, especially the fresh fish dishes, and the breakfast on the dock was a dream come true. Carmen and Marcel, even inviting us out with them. The Family Suite with Balcony offered fine views and a cozy atmosphere that was nice.

There were no complaints at all.

Great location. Amazing food. Pesky insects.

Plus, the sun terrace and the garden area were perfect spots to relax and unwind after our adventures. The only downside was the loud music from town that kept us up a bit too late, but it didn't ruin our great experience 🌅

The free kayak, fine sea view, and cozy vibe made the stay lovely-Carmen and Marcel make you feel like family!
